Financial Payment Systems Limited
(FPS) established a presence in China to develop
and operate online payment networks and to drive the adoption
of electronic payments in China. The pioneer project is situated
in Jiangsu
Province. Tasked to be at the forefront of China’s modernization
revolution, FPS aims to deliver convenient, cashless and paperless,
electronic payment service in the Government-to-Government
(G2G) sphere, and subsequently offer the service to the Government-to-Business
(G2B) and Business-to-Business (B2B) environments.
FPS will specialize in the delivery of electronic
payment services, to be set as an industry standard payment
infrastructure, with its own product called EnterBanking™.
Although e-commerce has matured and become
the universally accepted channel for product and service distribution,
China’s backend payment infrastructure still needs to
be improved. Despite progressive establishment of a modern
corporate system in most large and medium-sized state-own
enterprises, with most banks having their own Internet facilities,
the market requires a purpose-built payment infrastructure
to handle increasing volumes and the increasing complexity
of transactions. FPS’s EnterBanking™
is that solution.
